Damaged Hair?
Here’s a healthy, organic fix.
Not all hope is lost
As we all (begrudgingly) know, the only way to fix damaged hair is to cut it off. And if you’re like the rest of us, you seem to have an emotional attachment to your hair — which, hey, completely understandable.
So, if you’ve searched high and low for something, anything, that’ll bring moisture back to your parched ends, don’t worry — we’ve got just the thing(s) for you.
But before we get into the products that’ll quench your hair’s thirst, let’s talk a little bit about hair health.
Start from the inside out
What most people don’t realize about their hair is that it needs more love than almost anything else on our bodies — more than our nails, skin, and body. Once hair grows
past the scalp, it’s basically dead; so it’s up to you to make it look less like something out of Corpse Bride and more like the healthy, bouncy hair of your dreams.
There are many supplements one can take for their hair — SugarbearHair is a great example of this. If you have the time, patience, and willingness to treat your hair from the inside out, invest in some good supplements. It doesn’t even have to be just for your hair — there are biotin and collagen pills that help with the elasticity of our skin as well as our mane (and who wouldn’t want to keep looking fresh and young?).
What we put into our bodies shows itself in our hair, skin, and nails. So make sure to be a little more conscious of what goes into it. We know, McDonald’s fries sound really good on Friday night… but your hair won’t be thanking you later on.
Let’s get to it:
“Quick fixes” only help mask the appearance of dead, disheveled hair. But if you put your money where your mouth is and invest in good-quality products, it’ll do more than just provide a quick fix — it’ll begin replenishing and hydrating your hair more and more each time you use it.
First things first, eliminate any products that may have sulfates or parabens in them. If you’re unaware, these can be harmful to your hair as well as your health (yikes).
Second, after dumping all your toxin-filled products and washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo, get a shampoo and conditioner that hydrate your hair without stripping it of all its essential oils, like these two:
Don’t stop there — your hair still needs more love. So continue down the path to healthier hair by applying a generous amount of this keratin treatment mask:
This mask is thick and creamy, leaving your hair soft, moisturized, and happy. Pro tip: rinse with cold water so your hair cuticles close up and lock in as much moisture as possible.
Once you’re done with the treatment mask, go on and spritz some leave-in conditioner, as well as our PIAM serum — hand-crafted by the gods — onto your damp hair.
With these products, you’re already on track toward becoming America’s Next Top Model. Serving serious hair envy doesn’t stop there (of course). If you’re like us and love the look of blown-out hair, make sure to protect your hair from the heat — because otherwise, all the steps you just took will have been for nothing.
Finish it off with the blowout balm (our absolute favorite). Best part? It smells incredible, too.
Now you’re ready to make them ALL stop, stare, and wonder who did your hair.

What is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?
Why Search Volumes Are on the Rise
It’s a new type of treatment, and the experts at Hans Wiemann understand it well. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is therapy… for your hair — and one of the most talked-about PRP hair treatments for hair loss today. It’s a three-step medical treatment that’s been proven to stimulate and increase hair growth!
The beauty of PRP therapy is that it uses your own blood components, meaning there's less risk of a reaction to the solution — as opposed to getting anything more invasive, like surgery.

How PRP Hair Treatment Works
Today, PRP is widely used in conjunction with other hair loss treatments, as most studies suggest that it has incredible effects on reversing hair loss and stimulating hair growth. That’s because PRP tends to improve hair caliber and hair growth and requires repeated treatments once a month for three months. Patients in a controlled study group were shown to have much earlier and better responses to PRP treatments than to other solutions. They even saw a significant decrease in short vellus hair, yellow dots, and dystrophic hair, thus concluding that PRP is more effective than most solutions on the market.

There’s no question why everyone is suddenly researching the effects of PRP. It’s great for skin, muscle injuries, arthritis-related pain, and most recently (and effectively) hair loss. But why is it so effective? Because it uses your own blood. The biggest risk in surgery, blood transfusions, and organ donations is rejection. It’s not naturally part of the body, and the body refuses to accept it. But when it comes to PRP, the body can’t reject what already belongs to it; it has a much harder time doing so.

Dry Hair? Do This.
Your Locks Need Love.
We know, we know. Dry hair is practically an epidemic. In a world where it seems only A-list celebrities are worthy of healthy-looking hair, we’re all left searching for a magic ingredient that’s going to give us what we need.
And though there’s no “magic ingredient,” there are some spells and potions that will certainly bring your hair back from the dry deserts of the Sahara.
In order to keep your hair healthy and bouncy, these are the things that will help you achieve optimal #HairGoals...
Follow a Haircare Routine
This is very important! See how it’s in bold? With an exclamation point at the end? Yeah — that important.
There is absolutely no way you’re going to get anywhere near the hair of your dreams if you don’t follow a consistent hair routine. The steps you take to preserve your hair’s integrity should be practiced regularly, as this will increase your hair’s health and durability.
Like a diet, there are certain things we put into our bodies and others that we don’t. The same goes for our hair. You never want to use harsh chemicals that can set back your progress, like sulfates or parabens, so make sure to check the ingredients of any product before buying or using it.
Start with shampoo and conditioner. Remember to stay away from drugstore brands that ruin rather than help your hair. Look for something of good quality, preferably with keratin protein in it; this will help your hair stay nice and smooth from the roots down.
Properly shampooing and conditioning your hair is another important step. All you need is a quarter-sized amount of each. For the shampoo, stick to the roots of your hair and give your scalp a good massage to help stimulate hair growth. When conditioning, start at the ends of your hair since they’re the ones in need of the most TLC. From there, work your way up toward the middle, conditioning the roots with whatever is left on your hands.
Don’t stop there — continue the hair love by applying leave-in conditioner. This won’t make it stiff, and it’ll nourish your locks as they dry. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. It’s packed with vitamins that nourish your scalp and condition your hair.
You can spritz a little extra on your ends, too — especially if they’re already showing signs of split ends and dehydration. They will drink this up!
You know how Future (the rapper) says “F*ck it, mask off”? Yeah, well, we’re sayin’ “F*ck it, mask on.” There’s nothing we love more than a good treatment for our tresses. We, too, are in search of celebrity-grade hair, and this has helped us get there.
Not many people know that treatments are half the work, and you can get salon-quality masks sent right to your door. These can be done biweekly, monthly, or whenever needed. Save some miles and hydrate at home!
Go Easy on the Heat Styling
As much as we’re told to “bring the heat,” we try to cut back on using hot tools as much as possible. This allows our hair to stay healthier and shinier for longer.
But if you really can’t go without straightening or curling it, we recommend a few things:
Blowout Lotion — Please remember to use this before every single blowout. Your hair will thank you, your stylist will thank you, and you will thank yourself.
Thermal Protectant — DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. It’s like going to the beach with no sunscreen. Just don’t do it.
Titanium and Ceramic Blended Hot Tools — This blend allows for optimal moisture retention and shine promotion. It doesn’t damage the hair and never rusts.
Hair Supplements
Yup — vitamins for your hair. There are tons on the market, many of which target specific needs. Whether you’re looking for length or strength, hair gummies can help you along the way. By taking supplements, your hair is able to benefit from all the nutrients they provide.
By following these steps and living a more hair-conscious lifestyle, you can slowly repair what was lost after years of hot styling, damaging highlights, or maltreatment. The beauty of hair? It grows back, and each time we’re given the opportunity to start fresh.
XOXO,
PIAM.

DIY Oily Scalp Solution
Use ingredients from your fridge to help combat oily hair!
Grease lightnin’, please sit down
There’s nothing worse than an oily scalp. Especially if you’re booked and busy with no time or patience to spare. Sure, dry shampoo can mask the appearance of oily roots — but not for long. At the end of the day, you’re left with greasy hair that sticks to your forehead like a frog on a windshield, and roots that look like they’ve been drenched in oil. Not the best lewk if you ask us, but hey — to each their own.
If you’re willing to do something about this minor inconvenience (because let’s be real, there are worse things in life than oily hair), read along to see how you can keep this problem at bay. And no, you won’t need to purchase an expensive treatment that leaves a dent in your bank account. In fact, this DIY mixture can be made with ingredients you may (or may not) already have at home!
Let’s get started!
You will need:
one juiced lemon,
2 tbsp baking soda,
1 tbsp water,
2 drops of rosemary essential oil,
and 2 drops of lemongrass essential oil.
Mix it all together, apply it to your scalp, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Once the time’s up, wash it off.
There — it’s that simple! Do this every 15 days, or about twice a month, for best results.
You can continue nourishing your hair with a great keratin treatment mask, which allows for maximum absorption of moisture toward your ends (the part of your hair that needs the most love and care).
Make sure to leave this in for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water. This will help your hair cuticles close more quickly and lock in moisture, so you’ll literally feel and see the difference with continued use.
XOXO,
PIAM.
